Residents may be interested in attending West Oxfordshire District Council’s Waterways Day 2026. This annual event brings together experts, organisations and communities to discuss the challenges and explore some solutions.
The event takes place on Friday 9 October from 9am at the Corn Exchange in Witney. The Gallery area will be open 10am-5pm for drop-in, with stalls sharing information and organisation representatives available to speak with.
There will also be a number of talks and panel discussions during the day. Each talk will be delivered by an expert and followed by a Q&A. The talks will be on:
9am Development, Infrastructure and Water Quality
10.45am Water Pollution and Accountability
12.30pm Flood Risks and Mitigation
2pm Catchment Partnerships, Agriculture and Nature Recovery
The event is free to attend but booking is necessary for those wishing to attend the talks, as there is limited space. No booking is required to drop in to the Gallery.
