Some of our older residents may be interested in attending the UN Older People’s Day event in Oxford on Wednesday 7 October, from 10am-2pm.
This is an annual community networking event being held at Oxford Town Hall for those aged 50 and older. It will bring together lots of organisations and charities working across the county who will showcase their services and activities, sharing useful information for older people and their families.
The event is organised by the Oxford 50+ Network with support from Oxford City Council. It’s free to attend, with a number of workshops and speakers scheduled during the day, as well as over 50 stalls and taster sessions.
The stalls will be set up in the main hall for the whole session. There will also be a Digital Support Workshop running (in St Aldates Room) where students from Oxford Brookes will be available to help with any digital devices (and chargers/cables) you bring along.
In the Freemans Room, a number of taster/information sessions are scheduled:

11.45am MuMo Dance Taster
12.15pm Reducing the Risk
1pm Forever Young Chair Exercise Taster
