It has been announced by Network Rail that the Botley Road will not be re-opening at the end of August as scheduled.

During the excavation works, three minor gas leaks were discovered. Additional time was needed to allow the gas network (SGN) to replace the pipes rather than simply repairing, hopefully avoiding disruption in the future.

No date has yet been given for the re-opening of the Botley Road; we will update residents when we hear more. This delay will impact Oxfordshire County Council’s plan to introduce traffic filters and cease the congestion charge scheme, which has always been scheduled to take place only once the Botley Road was open.

From 26 July, passengers using any of the Pulhams bus services can use their debit card or smartphone (Apple Pay/Google Pay) to ‘tap on and tap off’ paying for their fare without the need for a paper ticket. It’s called ‘FreeFlow’ and will only be available for a single fare or a day ticket (not for returns or group tickets).   https://www.pulhams.co.uk/freeflow/

Oxfordshire County Council is consulting on plans to use Thornhill Park & Ride for budget airport parking, as the site is currently service by buses to the airport 24/7. The plan would be to provide 8-day parking for £15 or 15 days for £30. Currently, the maximum stay is 72 hours.
