Eynsham Parish Council is working with West Oxfordshire District Council to create an exciting new Art Trail for the parish, with work designed by local artists in response to different sites and spaces around the village.
The artworks will form a circular walk connecting Thornbury Green with the main village. We are hoping that Eynsham-based artists - and those with a connection with Eynsham - and/or community groups will produce these artworks.
The preference is for outdoor installations, but the panel will also conside indoor installations. All artworks need to be practical and low maintenance, able to survive being outside for many years to come.
The aims and objectives of this project include accomplishing a series of commissioned artworks, in keeping with the local landscape, achieving a sense of local ownership of the artwork and supporting local artists or those with connections to Eynsham.

TIMELINE
February 2025: Art Trail project launched, with a call to artists to submit applications
April 2025: application deadline
May 2025: successful applicants announced
May 2025-August 2027: art works created and installed
August 2027: project completion
