Built in the 1970s, the Sports Pavilion building is a well-used community amenity that overlooks the south playing field (Queen Elizabeth II Field) and is easily accessible from the village bypass. It's a firm favourite for children's parties and takes a role in Eynsham Carnival in July, as well as being a headquarters for some of the sports teams in the village.
The building is now on the cusp of a new era. Rather than a complex refurbishment, we have secured planning permission for a re-build of this local icon. The new Pavilion will be a two-storey building with function space for up to 270 people. It will contain improved changing facilities and a range of social spaces, including large and small halls, a kitchen and a balcony area for watching outdoor activities in comfort.

Pavilion Re-build Project
The Parish Council started its Pavilion Re-build Project in January 2019 as the current structure is nearing the end of its life.
Following a number of revisions and a pre-planning application to West Oxfordshire District Council, full planning permission has now been granted by WODC (July 2021). A link to the planning application can be found here. The Council is now working on a business plan and will look to start fundraising to support the costs of the re-build of a much-loved community asset.
