Oxfordshire County Council is currently running a public consultation on their Movement and Place (MAP) plan. They are seeking the views of residents in the West Oxfordshire Lowlands (which includes Eynsham) on how to improve local places and transport connections for areas.
The MAP plan is a live document, which means it will be continuously updated to reflect the changing needs of local places. It also includes projects and proposals for the next 25 years.
It is intended that the projects in the MAP plan will enhance the quality of life for people who live, work, or visit the West Oxfordshire Lowlands. It is also hoped it will support sustainable development, improve travel and enhance the local environment.
Anyone who needs a copy of the survey in a different format can contact the team via [email protected] or by calling customer services on 01865 792422.
A number of drop-in sessions have been planned for the areas covered by the plan. This is an opportunity to ask questions, hear more about the plan and share feedback in person. A session will be held in Eynsham (at St Leonard’s Church) on 14 May from 9am-12pm. There will also be a session in Witney (Corn Exchange) on 19 May 9am-4pm.
Eynsham Parish Council will discuss the plan and consider our response at our next Council meeting on 19 May. Public attendance is welcome at all our meetings.
