New Saturday bus service for Eynsham 7 Apr 2026 First and Last Mile will run two services connecting local villages

First and Last Mile, a community bus service that until recently had operated some of our local routes, is delighted to be coming back to Eynsham from May with a new Saturday service.

The 611 and 618 will connect Eynsham with some of our neighbouring villages and have been designed with younger people in mind. The intention is to create transport connections to leisure facilities or activities – for example, the schedule has been designed so children can attend lessons at Jessie’s Art Shed in Eynsham.

These new services will start from 2 May, on a Saturday only. They will connect Standlake-Eynsham-Witney (618) and North Leigh-Eynsham (611). The timetables for these services can be downloaded at the bottom of this article. 

The services have been approved by Oxfordshire County Council and will run for a five-month trial, funding being provided by the Low Carbon Hub. We’d encourage our residents to make use of these new services to ensure they can secure funding for a longer term basis.

First and Last Mile is a not-for-profit organisation, with buses driven by volunteers.
