West Oxfordshire District Council has launched the final public consultation on their Local Plan. This is their key strategic planning document that sets out how the district will grow and develop between now and 2043.
Despite the local government re-organisation changing our council structures next year, this Local Plan will likely remain a key document and guide decision making in key areas such as development, infrastructure, community facilities and jobs.
The District Council is inviting residents to review the draft Local Plan and share comments. This is the final opportunity to do so before the plan is submitted to the Planning Inspectorate for examination. The public consultation opened on 26 August and will close on 9 October, providing a six-week window for residents to comment.
There will a number of drop-in events to provide residents with an opportunity to speak to planning officers about the consultation, ask any questions and seek guidance on how to respond. The closest event to Eynsham is at the Witney Corn Exchange on Tuesday 1 September (4pm-7pm); there will also be an event at Carterton Town Hall on Wednesday 9 September (4.30pm-7.30pm).
