Eynsham Parish Council News

Volunteers needed for play area 5 May 2026 We seek enthusiastic volunteers to help with Dovehouse Close play area

Eynsham residents may be aware of the issues at Dovehouse Close play area. Read more details in our previous update from January here.
Our Open Space Committee is responsible for the play areas in the Parish and has been discussing how to approach the challenge of fundraising for the replacement and repair programme that is needed to restore the play area fully.
We will be forming a designated Dovehouse Close Play Area Working Group to lead on this project and would like to invite residents who are interested in helping to support this work to apply.
We welcome enthusiastic, positive and open-minded people who have the time to invest in the community and would like to make a difference to those who live within it, especially our youngsters. There’s no requirement to have children of your own to be involved with this project – all residents who are keen to help develop the site for the future can apply.
Being a member of a Working Group requires time to attend meetings, read documents, and be involved in any activities required. Activities may include helping to submit grant applications, arranging fundraising events, working with others to create contract specifications or even a bit of manual labour (as needed – we don’t yet know!).
Please send expressions of interest to epc.clerk@eynsham-pc.gov.uk or epc.office@eynsham-pc.gov.uk for more information. Contacting us does not commit you to this project! We’re happy to arrange for a chat with our Clerk or one of our Councillors if you’d like to find out more but aren’t yet sure.
