EV-charge parking on Mill Street? 16 Jul 2026 A consultation is open into County Council plans for EV infrastructure

Residents may be interested in submitting a response to the plan to make four of the parking spaces on Mill Street reserved for electric vehicle (EV)-charging only. The parking spaces to be designated would be outside 9-11 Mill Street.
This is part of a county-wide plans from Oxfordshire County Council to improve EV infrastructure. It’s intended to provide residents with the confidence to switch to an EV ahead of Zero Emissions Vehicles mandate (no new petrol or diesel cars can be sold from 2030).
A consultation into these plans is currently open and residents have until 7 August at 5pm to review the details and share views. All the documents and details – including other locations around the county where parking spaces will be dedicated to EV-charging – are available on the Let’s Talk Oxfordshire website.
