The temporary 'through-traffic' prohibition is designed to allow shoppers who are queuing on footpaths to do so more safely and those who are walking/cycling in the centre to avoid close proximity with others thereby allowing greater social distancing.
We recommend using Back Lane Car Park which currently has a good supply of parking spaces. Some parking here also has welcome shade during hot weather.
It’s short walk from Back Lane Car Park down Conduit Lane to reach Harris’ Corner (Co-op / Goolsby Butchers, Lyalls and other nearby shops and businesses) and down Evans Road / John Lopes Road to the Eynsham Cellars, Post Office, Library, Body Talk, Talmages, Snaks and Market Garden.
Don't forget to try the excellent cafe stops. The distance compares favourably to most of the car parking space in Witney.
The Spar and Smart’s Fish & Chip Shop on Spareacre Lane also has the advantage of parking out the front.
