Eynsham Parish Council News

Salt Cross consultation (again) 6 Oct 2025 Residents can review the plans and comment until 14 November.

West Oxfordshire District Council is holding what it hopes will be the final public consultation on the Salt Cross Garden Village Area Action Plan. Residents may be interested in reviewing the modified plan and sharing comments.

In August, the District Council secured the support of the Planning Inspectorate for their ambitious net-zero policy to be part of the development’s Area Action Plan, with a few modifications required (read our previous news article here).

These modifications have now been made and the Area Action Plan is open to public consultation until 5pm on 14 November. The documents can be reviewed and feedback submitted via the District Council website or by email to planning.consultation@westoxon.gov.uk. Residents can also send comments to the team by post to Planning Policy Team, Council Offices, Woodgreen, Witney, OX28 1NB.

The Parish Council will be discussing the Plan at our next planning committee meeting on 14 October, and again at the full Council meeting on 21 October, before submitting our response. Residents are welcome to attend our meetings to hear our discussions.

Once the consultation is complete and any final changes made are made to the Area Action Plan, the District Council will be ready to review planning applications for development on the site. It is anticipated that the first homes will be built within five years.
