Oxfordshire County Council is holding a public consultation on their plans to improve the county’s rail network. All residents are invited to review the plan and share comments.
OxRAIL 2040, the plan under review, seeks to make train travel a central part of an ‘integrated, accessible and sustainable transport system that enables all parts of the county to thrive’. It would be completed over a period of 15 years and involve new stations being opened as well as connections and infrastructure being improved.
The plan is open to public consultation from 3 September until 1 October. We’d encourage interested residents to review the documents and share feedback via the consultation website: OxRAIL 2040: Plan for Rail | Let's Talk Oxfordshire There is a short survey (5-10 minutes) that will ask your views on the plan’s vision, the themes, the chosen projects and the phasing.
Any questions can be directed to the project team via OxRAIL2040@oxfordshire.gov.uk.
After the consultation, comments and feedback will be used to finalise the plan before it is presented to the County Council’s Cabinet in November for adoption.
