Eynsham Parish Council has just been informed of an emergency road closure on Back Lane for pipe repair works.
A short section of Back Lane (near to the car park) will be closed from 8 August until 11 December, 24 hours each day. This is to allow for repairs to be carried out on collapsed sewer pipes.
During the closure, access will be allowed for emergency vehicles and those with frontages in the closure section only. A diversion will be in place for all other traffic, via Spareacre Lane and Witney Road. The diversion route and the closure section are marked on the map, downloadable below.
This latest repair activity is part of ongoing work that Thames Water has been carrying out in Eynsham to address some long-standing issues. We previously wrote about this in July, ahead of repair work that started on 11 July on Back Lane.
