Eynsham Parish Council News

Road closures in April 8 Apr 2022 Some planned installation and maintenance works will result in road closures during the month

The Parish Council has been advised of two temporary road closures that are planned during April in Eynsham and nearby. Hopefully the inconvenience will be kept to a minimum for those moving around the area.

Lower Road in Church Hanborough will be closed and subject to a ‘No Waiting’ restriction from 8pm to 6am over the night of 19th- 20th April to allow for carriageway patching works. The location of the road closure and the suggested alternative route can be viewed in the image within our gallery below.

A section of Acre End Street will be closed between the hours of 8am and 4pm daily from 25th-29th April to allow Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) to install a new electrical supply. During the hours of work, access will only be permitted for emergency vehicles or frontages. The alternative route suggested is via High Street, Oxford Road, B4449 and Station Road. A map of the impacted section of road and the alternative route can be viewed in the PDF attachment below.

We will keep you updated if the plans for these scheduled works changes over the coming weeks.
