Oxfordshire County Council has been in touch to apologise for what has been another delay in the process of installing electric vehicle (EV) charge points in Eynsham’s Back Lane car park.
While the chargers were planned to be available for use from January, the launch date has now been pushed back to mid-February (exact date to be confirmed). The re-scheduling of the work is due to a delay in getting a connection to the District Network – this is the company that distributes power to our area of the UK and will provide the required link to the Grid.
Eynsham residents should see activity in the car park increase again later this month when the six chargers will be installed ahead of the network connection date. We will update you on exact dates when we hear more from the County Council – keep an eye on this website. More information about the countywide 'Park and Charge' project is available on their official website.
