Oxfordshire County Council has informed us that part of Acre End Street will be temporarily closed in February to facilitate the installation of a new gas supply.
A section of the road will be blocked off from 7 February, 24 hours a day, to allow for the work to be done safely. It is anticipated that it will be complete by 11 February. During this time, limited access will remain for emergency services vehicles and for residents who need access to the frontages within the closed section of the road only.
A diversion for traffic will direct people via Station Road, B4449 and Oxford Road, and vice versa. You can see the division route and the section of Acre End Street due to be closed on the map, which is accessible via the PDF document at the bottom of the webpage.
