Eynsham Parish Council News

Bartholomew Room Building 23 Feb 2021 Expressions of Interest Invited

The Bartholomew Room was acquired in 1983 for the benefit of the community and it is with this in mind that the Council is looking to enter into a lease arrangement with one or more Eynsham community groups to occupy the building and ensure it remains open to the public.  The Council will relocate elsewhere for its business purposes, but will remain as owner of the building.

The Council therefore invite formally constituted village organisations to consider whether they wish to explore entering into an agreement with the Council (either by themselves or with other specific groups).  A business plan will need to be submitted to demonstrate how the organisation(s) will financially and purposefully manage the building over a period in excess of 10 years.  Should more than one community group independently express an interest, the Council will consider whether those groups could successfully, mutually lease the building.

Please contact the Clerk by midday on Wednesday 7 April 2021 should you wish to express an interest as set out above.
