West Oxfordshire District Council is holding a public hearing to discuss the updated net zero plans for the Salt Cross Garden Village development.

The hearing will be led by Planning Inspector Helen Hockenhull and will assess whether the revised net zero policy – intended to be both ambitious and deliverable – can now be included in the AAP. A report on the Inspector’s findings is expected later this summer. The fate of the updated net zero policy will depend on the outcome of the hearing: if changes are needed, there may be a public consultation; or, the policy will be submitted as it is currently to be either accepted or rejected.
