'No' to 30-home development 12 Feb 2026 Our response to a recent planning application

We know there has been some interest across the community in the recent planning application for 30 new homes to be built on a site south of Eynsham, east of Pink Hill Lane.
Eynsham Parish Council discussed this planning application at our committee meeting on Tuesday 10 February. We have decided to object to the plan and have submitted a detailed response to the planning application via the West Oxfordshire District Council portal.
We objected on various grounds, including the flood risk (the site is adjacent to a floodplain), the lack of sustainable travel options and connections, and the fact that the site is outside Eynsham’s settlement boundaries and within our ‘green buffer’ area, which is vital to ensure our village doesn’t sprawl into the countryside.
Thank you to the residents who attended the meeting to join our discussion. Those who are interested in reviewing the planning application and reading some of the submitted responses, please visit this District Council website: Simple Search Click on ‘search’, select ‘planning’, and then enter this reference code 25/02991/FUL to access the planning application.
The District Council will now review the responses and make their decision on whether to grant planning permission. We will monitor this application and inform residents when we hear further.
