Families will be thrilled to hear that Oxfordshire Play Association (OPA) is returning to Eynsham in July to bring us the ever-popular Play & Activity Day.
On Thursday 23 July from 11am-3pm, our Oxford Road playing field will be packed with activities for all the family, suitable for all ages, and all completely free.
Activities available on the day include go karting, body zorbing, smoothie bike, Bright Sparks science and biking, not to mention DIY face painting and giant bubbles.
This superb family fun day has become a regular feature of Eynsham’s summer events calendar. OPA, the charity providing the event, runs similar days all around the district as part of its mission to increase the awareness about the importance of play in a child’s development.
Eynsham Parish Council is pleased to have been able to provide a grant to support the Play & Activity Day in our village once again. This, along with funding that OPA receives from West Oxfordshire District Council and Oxfordshire County Council among others, helps to ensure the day is completely free for all families.
Families who wish to attend this year’s Play & Activity Day are advised to avoiding driving to the playing fields as there is no parking available. We suggest parking at Back Lane car park and walking. Hot refreshments will be available to buy and families are welcome to bring a picnic.
