On Tuesday 4 March, from 7.30pm at the Village Hall, we will be hosting our Annual Parish Meeting. We would be delighted to welcome all residents to join us for this fun evening event!
It sounds formal but it’s not; we will have a short presentation from our Chair, before the room will open up for mingling and networking. We’ve got many local organisations, groups and businesses mounting displays and available to chat. The evening will be a chance to celebrate all the super activities happening in our parish.
Attendees will also be able to speak with our Parish Councillors and District and County Councillors about any local issues or ask questions. To fortify all this, we will be providing soft drinks, wine and a few nibbles.
Steve Parrinder of Eynsham Museum and Heritage Centre – a regular at our Annual Parish Meetings – will be there with a display. He said “it’s always interesting to hear from our Parish Councillors about what they do for us and to learn more about the work of other organisations in the village. We welcome the opportunity to promote our own charity to the community too, plus there’s free wine!”
David Miles, the director of the flexible local transport service First and Last Mile, is also always quick to confirm his attendance. He explained; “First and Last Mile likes to attend the Annual Parish Meeting because it offers a chance to meet local residents and strengthen ties with people who are active in the Eynsham community, which is at the heart of our services.”
Another regular ‘face’ is Scott Roberts, the co-founder of Polar Technology, based on the Horizon Technology Park in Eynsham. He told us:
“I am always delighted to attend the meeting because it provides a face-to-face opportunity to engage with the local community, of which Polar Technology and our 240 employees are proud to be a part of. It enables me to stay connected and hear first-hand the issues that are current and relevant to the community. It’s well organised and well attended; a ‘must attend’ meeting for us!”
Join these three and many more on 4 March. If you have any questions about this event, please email epc.comms@eynsham-pc.gov.uk. If you’re an organisation or group keen to share a display about your activity this year, please contact us asap and we will hopefully be able to allocate you space.
