Old Witney Road Traffic Calming 18 Jan 2024 County Council consultation seeks views on Eynsham plans

Oxfordshire County Council has opened a consultation into the plans to install traffic calming measures on Old Witney Road in Eynsham. Interested residents are now able to review the plans and share their views.

The plans have been proposed in response to the new residential development within the area, to help improve road safety by reducing the speed of traffic passing through. Changes include introducing pairs of speed cushions onto Old Witney Road, with exact details available in the supporting documents.

The County Council consultation follows an initial, informal consultation carried out by Eynsham Parish Council with the residents of Old Witney Road. The plans that were approved by the majority of residents who responded were passed on to the County Council, which has responsibility for making changes of this nature.

The new consultation provides everyone with a chance to have their say on the traffic calming measures. Documents relating to the proposals can be reviewed on the designated website, created by the County Council: Eynsham: Old Witney Road - proposed traffic calming measures | Let's Talk Oxfordshire

The webpage also provides a link to the survey for sharing views. Responses are being accepted until Friday 16 February at 5pm. For those who would prefer documents and a survey to complete by post, please email the Project Contact jane.clark@oxfordshire.gov.uk or call 0345 310 1111.
