Eynsham Parish Councillor Milly Chen, who oversees the development of the Food Forest Garden in Old Witney Road play area, is planning a planting session in November and would welcome volunteers to help.
The Food Forest Garden is being developed with the support of Eynsham Community Primary School, with the students helping to clear and plant at the site, while learning more about nature and edible plants.
Many of the students and their families will be joining Cllr Milly at the site on Saturday 15 November to clear new areas for growing. There are plans to plant raspberries and other edible plants. Volunteers from across the community are welcome to join.
The session will run from 2pm-4.30pm, with the group meeting at the back of the play area near the football pitch. Volunteers are encouraged to bring gloves and trowels/spades if they have them.
