Eynsham Parish Council is delighted to confirm that the hugely popular and completely free Play & Activity Day will be returning to the village on Friday 25 July.
This family fun day is organised by the Oxfordshire Play Association (OPA) and is one of many that the charity will run around the county in the summer months. Find out more about the OPA and their various summer events via their website: www.oxonplay.org.uk.
Eynsham will have its turn on Friday 25 July from 11am until 3pm at the Oxford Road playing fields. Admission to the Play & Activity Day is free and there will be activities and games suitable for all ages, from Go Karting and Body Zorbing to Giant Bubbles and Face Painting. The Parish Council has been able to provide some financial support to the OPA as part of our Grant Aid policy, to help the charity continue to run the day without charging families for attending. Martin Gillet, from OPA, said that they were:
“very grateful to receive financial support again from Eynsham Parish Council, which will part fund our annual Eynsham Play & Activity Day. The free community playday event has become a fixture in the local calendar over the past few years and the funding from the Parish Council helps us provide fun and educational activities for the children and young people to enjoy.”
