Eynsham Parish Council has been informed by Siemens Healthineers that the footpath beside their factory will be closed from June to September to allow the company to run safety tests.
The footpath which starts at The Talbot Inn on the Oxford Road (B4044) and runs beside the Siemens Magnet Technology site beside the Wharf stream will be closed completed from 1 June – 1 September, for 24 hours each day.
The closure is required by the County Council for the period when Siemens complete their pipework pressure testing. This last took place in 2022 and the footpath needs to be closed to allow for a 5m exclusion zone.
As the route is part of a circular walk, no diversion is possible but we hope enthusiastic walkers will be able to find some other paths to enjoy during this closure.
