Discuss A40 plans with County Council 18 Nov 2024 A public engagement session in Eynsham

Eynsham Parish Council has been informed that Oxfordshire County Council will be holding public engagement sessions on the A40 improvement scheme in Eynsham in December. We’d encourage residents to take this opportunity to find out more about the plans and share any concerns.

The A40 improvement scheme will provide new bus lanes along the A40 between the Eynsham Park and Ride and Wolvercote, as well as make improvements to active travel infrastructure. Funding was secured for the project in October and the County Council now has to apply for planning permission.

Members of the A40 project team will be in Eynsham Village Hall on 4 December from 3pm-7pm for a public engagement session. There will be exhibition boards with information about the scheme and team members will be on hand to discuss the details and answer any questions.

For those who are unable to attend the December session, there will be a similar session in Cassington Village Hall on 25 November from 3pm-7pm.

If you’re unable to attend either event, there is an opportunity to share thoughts online, via this website https://letstalk.oxfordshire.gov.uk/a40eynshamtowolvercote (which will only go live on 25 November – the link won’t work until then). There is a poster about this available to download at the bottom of the page.

The A40 plans will have a sizeable impact on our parish and residents so we encourage those with an interest in the area and active travel to engage with the scheme and raise any concerns, either in person or online.
