Eynsham’s local Nature Recovery Network and Long Mead Foundation are currently undertaking a marathon of hedge-planting sessions to restore 60 acres along the river below Swinford Lock.
This ambitious but important project will greatly enhance our local countryside – and they’d like some help to make it happen.
A hedge-planting session is scheduled for Sunday 12 January, from 10am until 3pm. Volunteers will meet at Long Mead barn at 10am and are advised to bring a picnic lunch and a thermos for sustenance.
There is no requirement to stay for the whole session; any time you can give to help during the session will be appreciated.
*Please be aware that the hedge-planting session planned for December has been cancelled due to flooding*
