Remembrance Sunday in 2024 falls on Sunday 10 November, when there will be an Act of Remembrance at Eynsham War Memorial in Market Square. This is led by the Royal British Legion Eynsham branch and will start at 10.45am. All are welcome to attend.
The Act of Remembrance will last approximately half an hour and include a two-minute silence at 11am. There will be also be a laying of wreaths, including one from the Parish Council, which will be placed beside the War Memorial on behalf of the Council by Cllr Sue Osborne.
On Monday 11 November, the exact anniversary of Armistice Day, there will be another, similar service held at the War Memorial. This service will also start at 10.45am.
Our Eynsham branch of the Royal British Legion have asked that those attending wear a poppy and dress appropriately for standing outdoors in the November weather.
