Councillors join in the Apple Day fun 12 Sep 2024 Our Councillors are getting involved with the Apple Day and Green Festival

Eynsham Parish Councillors will be getting involved at the local Apple Day and Green Festival that is taking place on Saturday 12 October.

The Apple Day and Green Festival – a joint event from Peace Oak Organisation and GreenTEA – will include various activities and crafts, as well as apple picking and juicing. It will take place at the Peace Oak Orchard (access via Cobbetts Close, off Newlands Street) from 2pm-4.30pm.

As one of our Parish Council representatives with GreenTEA, Councillor Milly Chen is getting involved with a competition for the best plant-based dish at the event. Attendees are invited to bring along a plant-based dish to enter. There will also be an opportunity to learn new recipes and taste some other plant-based foods.

If anyone would like to enter a dish for the plant-based dish to the competition, please email Milly (millyxchen@outlook.com). Once the winners are decided by a panel of local judges, the food will be open for free tasting.

This is just one of the many fun and informative activities planned for the day so hopefully residents will be able to join. Read more about Apple Day and Green Festival by downloading the flyer below. All activities are free!
