To enable the construction of the new Park and Ride site being built near Eynsham, Oxfordshire County Council will implement a temporary road closure and speed restriction change along Cuckoo Lane from 19 September.
A portion of Cuckoo Lane (from A40 heading northwards for 300m) will be closed overnight (8pm-6am) as required, while during the day the road (up to the entrance for SSE electrical substation) will have a speed limit reduction from 60mph to 30mph. From the substation until the entrance for Cuckoo Wood Farm, the speed limit will be reduced from 60mph to 50mph.
The diversion route to be used during the overnight road closures is identified in the document below. The County Council estimates that the Park and Ride construction project will be completed by the end December 2023.
