The good news is that the Eynsham Carnival and Shirt Race are back in the usual place in July! The bad news is that this will result in a temporary closure of some roads in the village.
On 2 July from 11am until 2pm, a number of roads within the village will be closed to all traffic. These roads are:
-
Witney Road (between the junctions with Spareacre Lane and Acre End Street)
-
Acre End Street (between the junctions with Witney Road and Station Road)
-
Thames Street
-
Mill Street (between the junctions with Thames Street and Spare acre Lane)
-
Newland Street (until the junction with Queen Street)
-
Queen Street (until its junction with Oxford Road)
-
Oxford Road (between the junctions with Queen Street and the B4449)
-
Cassington Road (between the junctions with Queen Street and the B4449)
-
Station Road
The alternative route for all traffic during these times will be via Spare acre Lane and Hanborough Road to the B4449. Maps that show the impacted roads and the diversion route and within the PDF download at the bottom of the page.
