Bank holidays impact bin days 27 May 2022 The Jubilee bank holiday weekend will impact our bin collection days in the following fortnight

West Oxfordshire District Council has advised us that bin collections will be impacted by the bank holidays in early June that will mark the Queen’s Jubilee.

Waste collection will be suspended on Thursday 2 June and Friday 3 June to allow the crews to enjoy the long weekend with their family and friends. They will return to waste collection duties on Monday 6 June to start two consecutive six-day weeks to catch up. As a result of the holidays, our bin collection day in the weeks after the bank holiday weekend will be different to usual.

For residents of Eynsham and Barnard Gate, the usual Wednesday collection will move to Friday 10 June and Thursday 16 June for the two weeks after the Jubilee. Collections will then revert to Wednesday, as normal, from 22 June.

You can download a waste collection calendar with details of all the changes to bin collection that happen during the year due to bank holidays via the District Council website. We wouldn’t like you to think you’d ‘bin’ missed out!
