Eynsham Parish Council has recently installed a new water heater at the Sports Pavilion, bringing warm showers back to the venue.
The old gas boilers were around 50 years old and in very poor condition. For some time there had been no facilities for showering at the Sports Pavilion, which was a drawback for local groups such as Eynsham RoadRunners and the football teams.
We have now removed the old boilers and installed new electric water heaters which will only heat water when needed, resulting in a more energy-efficient system. Importantly, it also means that warm showers are available to Sports Pavilion hirers.
