New Eynsham Park&Ride consultation 28 Aug 2025 Residents can share views on latest plans

Eynsham Parish Council has been informed by Oxfordshire County Council of a planning application for the next stage in the development of the Eynsham Park&Ride on the A40. We will be reviewing the documents and submitting a response to the consultation – residents may like to do the same.

The planning application is for the construction of a new junction to connect the Eynsham Park&Ride site to the A40, a new bus lane, and improved walking and cycling facilities. The application was submitted at the end of June and is now open for consultation until 16 September.

The Parish Council Planning Committee will be discussing the application at our next meeting on 9 September, which residents are welcome to attend. The application and all associated documents can be accessed on the County Council planning portal (you may need to click ‘agree’ at the bottom of the first page to access the planning application documents).

We would encourage residents attending the meeting to have read the key documents to understand the details of the discussion.

For those unable to attend, the planning portal page has an email form for sharing views directly with the County Council.

Anyone who would like to view a hard copy of the planning documents can do so in the reception area of County Hall in Oxford. Please contact Enya Dale via enya.dale@oxfordshire.gov.uk to arrange a viewing.

Any general questions can be directed to the project team via A40corridor@oxfordshire.gov.uk. General information is also available on the project website: A40 Eynsham Park and Ride to Wolvercote scheme | Oxfordshire County Council

We will keep residents informed via our website on the progress of this planning application and next steps.
