Residents may be aware of a growing interest in – and need for – re-instating the Youth Club that we previously had in Eynsham. As a small parish, there are few options for young people to spend their time outside of school hours. A youth club can provide a safe, supportive environment for activities, learning and making new friends.
The last of the youth-focused support came to end during the pandemic and has never been restored. However, the community determination to re-establish the Eynsham Youth Club means that foundations are now being laid – and we need your help!
Eynsham Parish Councillor Carl Rylett has recently become the Project Co-ordinator for a new Youth Club and would welcome volunteers from across the community to get involved and help make it happen. Please email Cllr Rylett via carl.rylett@eynsham-pc.gov.uk to register your interest.
At this stage, a committee has been formed and discussions are ongoing with Bartholomew School and Oxfordshire Youth, a charity which will be providing support. It’s hoped that a new Youth Club will soon be option for our young people living in Eynsham. We will share updates on this website as soon as we have them.
