The Parish Council is delighted to report that Dovehouse Close Play Area has now, as of Friday 21 October, been re-opened to the public. The play area and its equipment is now safe for all to use.
We appreciate that such a prolonged closure of this popular play area has been frustrating for local families. We’re pleased the work has been completed in time for the half term holidays, allowing children and their families to enjoy the equipment safely once again.
Our repair work has highlighted the age/condition of the surviving wooden equipment. We’re conscious that more equipment will need minor repairs or removal in the future. Rather than continue to repair ageing equipment, a substantial new play area replacement project will be undertaken – we will need the community’s help with this.
Keep an eye out for details on how you can get involved and help us to create a play area in the coming months.
