Wharf Stream Way bench 5 Apr 2019 New bench installed by the Thames on the Wharf Stream Way

On the weekend of 23rd-24th of March, a small band of volunteers, including parish councillors, helped to install the final piece of artwork on the Wharf Stream Way heritage trail, which is in the form of a curved, carved bench. The result is, I am sure you’ll agree, nothing short of spectacular. To me, the bench looks like it has always belonged there, and it affords lovely views whichever side of it you choose to sit on. The artist, Will Glanfield, said “Thanks so much for all the hard work [the team] put in on Saturday. We made a great team and it wouldn't have been done without such hard work from everyone. I really appreciate your time and effort”.

I hope everyone enjoys this beautiful new bench!
