Community helps design Garden Village 18 Jun 2019 Public exhibition of initial sketches/ Eynsham groups' development priorities/ Group notes from Charrette

The Oxfordshire Cotswold Garden Village is now in the approved WODC Local Plan. So community groups, EPIC, GreenTEA, Eynsham Society and Peace Oak, with City Farm Management, are now working together to ensure that the garden village, should it go ahead, be the best it can be. Therefore they created shared priorities for the development which they have presented to and discussed with Grosvenor (the developer) and WODC. They also attended the Garden Village Charrette (see below), with other key representatives, to help develop early design ideas. You can examine those priorities and their responses to the Charrette by scrolling to the files at the bottom of this page. Group members will be attending the Sports Pavilion exhibition to share their contributions to the ideas.

What is a Design Charrette?

A Design Charrette is a collaborative meeting between members of the local community and the project team, who work together to sketch designs, explore ideas and develop innovative ways to solve problems. Grosvenor and West Oxfordshire District Council hosted a joint-Charrette on 16 and 17 May to take forward the masterplan framework for the Oxfordshire Cotswolds Garden Village.

We hope you will have the opportunity to visit the display at Eynsham Library and be able to join us at Eynsham Sports Pavilion on Monday 24 June. If you have any questions or would like to speak to a member of the team, please contact: Ross McWilliams at ross.mcwilliams@fourcommunications or call 020 3907 8962
