Following a change in government legislation, small amounts of DIY waste are now accepted free of charge at Oxfordshire County Council’s household waste recycling centres, including Dix Pit.

Bookings must be made in advance - online or by calling 0345 310 1111.

Proof of booking must be shown on arrival.

Bookings are for one visit only.
The free allocation is limited to five standard DIY items, once every 7 days. No booking is needed for other household waste, or for chargeable DIY waste.
The new system came into force on 31 December and full enforcement goes live on 1 February.
