Trees at risk 22 Jan 2024 Urging caution for Eynsham residents following Storm Isha

Following the powerful winds of Storm Isha that passed overnight from 21-22 January, Eynsham Parish Council is currently undertaking risk assessments of a number of trees in the village. We urge residents to take care around any trees that look unstable.

Currently, we are aware of failed trees at Dovehouse Close Woodland, Oxford Road Playing Field South and the Abbey Fishponds. Tree surgeons are at work to handle these trees.

We’d advise walkers to avoid the willow trees that run along the Chil Brook and also avoid using the north path at the Fishponds.

We will share further updates on the situation as soon as we have them.
