Pavilion Re-build Project
The Parish Council started its Pavilion Re-build Project in January 2019 as the current structure is nearing the end of its life. SWA Architects are appointed to draft plans and obtain planning permission following which, the remainder of the project will be tendered.
We are pleased that members of village organisations have joined a Stakeholder Group who meet with the Finance & General Purposes Committee to provide feedback and aide the design stage. We are aiming to approve final plans at the Council's meeting on Tuesday 21 May; a full planning application will be progressed shortly thereafter. Demolition of the building is aimed for May 2020.
Current plans include:- Ground floor: 4-6 changing rooms, separage referee changing rooms, kitchen with serving hatch to outside and lobby area with toilets, stairs and lift to first floor. First floor: Toilets, kitchen, small hall, large hall, balcony to the south. Compound: A number of built storage units for hire. The Council aims to make the building disability compliant and as environmentally friendly as possible. Further updates will be provided here as the project progresses.
