Does your organisation need funding? 21 Sep 2023 Apply for a Parish Council grant before November

Does your local organisation benefit our community? And could you do with some extra money to support your work through the coming year?

The Parish Council provides grants to local groups who need financial support to continue their activities or fund a project that helps to support and improve the well-being of local people.

It’s a pleasure for the Council to be able to support some fantastic and important local groups and we’re proud to have helped a number of different groups over the years. This includes Eynsham Primary School PTA (they bought a new cover for the swimming pool!) and the superb community bus service First and Last Mile.

We also gave some money to the Eynsham Village Show and helped Eynsham Croquet Club purchase a new lawn mower after their previous machine was damaged by flood water.

Last year, two of our grant applicants were the Witney Baby Bank and our local branch of Citizens Advice, both of which are doing critical work to support the many people struggling with the cost of living.

The range of groups and organisations who are successful is broad and their work is varied, but all operate within our parish and help our local community. If you think your group may be eligible and you’re in need of additional financial support, we would encourage you to apply for this year’s grant scheme – and soon!

Find out more about the Grant Aid scheme and the eligibility criteria in the policy document. Applications forms are available on this link (or within the Governance section of this website) and need to be submitted by 1 November to be considered. Applications will be reviewed by the Council, with grants being given out in April/May 2024.
