Maps and Walks

The Parish Council has published a map of local footpaths and brideways, using Oxfordshire County Council's definitive statement of 21 February 2006. The 3 sections are available as downloads below. We hope they will suggest new directions for your walks - you are welcome to help illustrate them too.

Circular Walks

Dec 2023: One of our local public footpaths has been slightly diverted. This is a path that connects from the A40. The Public Notice Order from the County Council and the map of the slightly adjusted route is available to download from our document section below.

Definitions

  • Footpath (FP): A highway over which the public have a right on foot only, other than such a highway at the side of a public road.
  • Bridleway (BR): A highway over which the public have a right of way on foot and a right of way on horseback or leading a horse, with or without a right to drive animals of any description along the highway.
  • Restricted Byway (RB): A highway over which the public have right of way on foot, on horseback or leading a horse and for vehicles other than mechanically propelled vehicles. Roads Used as a Public Path (RUPPs) were re-designated under the Countryside & Rights of Way Act 2000 and are now Restricted Bridleways.
