Apply for a Community Activity Grant 16 Jun 2025 Support available for local groups and projects that bring together people

Some of our local groups and organisations might be interested in applying for financial support from the 2025-26 Community Activity Grant (CAG) provided by West Oxfordshire District Council (WODC).

The newly-launched Community Activity Grant is focused on ‘Community Action’, with the £22,000 fund being made available to support organisations and local projects that will bring people together and reduce isolation. It is also intended for those projects that will help reduce the barriers to participation that people may face, such as disability or limited financial means.

One-off grants of between £500 and £1,000 are available for voluntary groups, charities and community-led projects. Applications can be made from Tuesday 1 July until Tuesday 12 August, with details on how to apply available on the District Council website:   Community grants and funding - West Oxfordshire District Council

If you have questions about this Grant or want to check if your organisation/project is eligible, please contact the Community Funding Officer, Lucy Empson, via wodc.grants@westoxon.gov.uk or by calling 01993 861189.

Larger projects and groups seeking higher levels of funding might like to consider using WestHive, the District Council’s community crowdfunding platform. A number of our local organisations have used or are currently using WestHive to successfully to raise funds (see more here). Find out more about how it works at an online Project Creator Workshop on Wednesday 2 July from 1-2pm: Westhive - Project Creator Workshop Tickets, Wed 2 Jul 2025 at 13:00 | Eventbrite
