Eynsham Parish Council News

Our marvellous new noticeboards! 28 May 2025 Money from the District Council has allowed us to buy four new noticeboards for the village

Residents may have spotted our four, rather impressive, new noticeboards around Eynsham. These new arrivals are to be seen in Market Square, Hazeldene, Witney Road and at the Village Hall.

Eynsham Parish Council has been able to fund these larger, better noticeboards courtesy of West Oxfordshire District Council.

The District Council allocated a portion of a national fund to us for use in Eynsham on a project that would benefit our area. We submitted a formal proposal, which was approved and has now resulted in the purchase and installation of the new noticeboards.

This money is part of a larger total that the District Council received from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) UKSPF. The national UKSPF has allocated councils across England a share of £2.6 billion to be spent on projects that enhance the life chances of those living in the areas and foster local pride.

Eynsham has a vibrant community with many local organisations and events, so it’s important that everyone has space to share their announcements. We hope these new noticeboards will be well used and continue to act as a source of local information for all our residents.

The new noticeboards have magnets provided and are ready to use. Unfortunately, the notices and posters that were on the old noticeboards in Market Square and Witney Road will need to be replaced as the installation firm removed them. We apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused.

We’d like to remind residents that notices and posters should be no larger than A5. If notices are promoting an event, we request they are removed after the event to allow space for others.

The noticeboards can’t be used for sharing business cards or posting any commercial advertising. If we see notices on this nature, we will remove them.
