District Council discuss Botley West 27 May 2025 A Committee meeting will discuss and prepare the official response

West Oxfordshire District Council will be holding a committee meeting in June to finalise their response to the Botley West Solar Farm proposal, for review by the Planning Inspectorate.

At a meeting on Monday 2 June, the Council’s Development Control Committee will discuss and finalise the District Council’s response, which will include a Local Impact Report and a written statement setting out the Council’s views on the proposals.

The written response is expected to reiterate the concerns of local communities that were raised previously by the District Council and which the Council feel have not been sufficiently responded to by the developer.

Cllr Andy Graham, leader of the District Council, will be speaking at the committee meeting and intends to represent the views of communities that will be impacted by the Solar Farm.

Members of the public who would like to address the cross-party committee at this meeting can do so provided they apply in advance. Requests to speak can be made by emailing democratic.services@westoxon.gov.uk or calling customer services on 01993 861000 by 12pm on Friday 30 May.

The meeting is open for public attendance but space is very limited. Residents are advised to access the live stream of the meeting to hear the discussions. Documents and information, as well as the link to the live stream, are available via this webpage: West Oxfordshire District Council - Agenda for Development Control Committee on Monday, 2nd June, 2025, 2.00 pm

The meeting will take place on Monday 2 June at 2pm in the District Council’s offices in Woodgreen, Witney.
