Share your views on public footpaths 22 Apr 2025 Residents can share experiences of public rights of way in a County Council consultation

Oxfordshire County Council is running a consultation into Rights of Way management and would like to hear from residents about their experiences.

Survey responses will help the County Council to update their Rights of Way Improvement Plan (RoWIP), required by law, to ensure that the network continues to serve the people who use it. This new plan will replace the Oxfordshire’s Right of Way Management Plan 2015-25 [Oxfordshire's Rights of Way Management Plan 2015-25 | Oxfordshire County Council]

Residents who use public rights of way – and even those who don’t – are being invited to complete an online survey before 19 May. Views are also being sought by landowners, land managers, local councils and other stakeholders, as part of the public consultation.

Find out more about the consultation and review the existing plan on the Let’s Talk Oxfordshire page: Oxfordshire Rights of Way Improvement Plan (RoWIP) | Let's Talk Oxfordshire The survey can also be accessed via this website or a paper copy can be requested by emailing consultations@oxfordshire.gov.uk or calling the Customer Services Team on 01865 792422. A Freepost address has been included on the paper documents for sending completed surveys back to the Council.

Once this consultation has closed, the County Council will develop a draft of the new plan by winter 2025 and hold another public consultation. We will keep residents informed of dates and how they can share views on the draft plan later in the year.
