Road closures in May 14 Apr 2025 Some local closures may impact travel

Eynsham Parish Council has been informed of a number of local road closures in late April and May which may impact residents’ travel in the area.

From 30 April up to and including 3 May, 24 hours per day, the parking bays outside properties 4-22 Acre End Street will be suspended. This is to allow for 20m of ducting to be installed and traffic lights will be in place on the road to facilitate single-file traffic. The section of the road to be impacted is marked on the maps (map 1 and map 2) below. Residents should ensure they have moved their cars in advance of this closure.

From 7 to 11 May, from 4am until 6pm each day, a section of B4449 will be closed and a temporary ‘No Waiting’ restriction will be in place. This is to allow for surface dressing works between Swinford Toll Bridge and Stanton Harcourt. A map below indicates the section to be closed and the suggested diversion route.

Finally, from 10 to 12 May, from 8pm until 6am, the same section of the B4449 will be closed to allow for road marking works. The same diversion will be in place, as indicated on the map below.
