Meet Eynsham's new police constable! 6 Jan 2025 PC Hannah Leggott is our ‘bobby on the beat’

Eynsham Parish Council is pleased to welcome PC Hannah Leggott to our parish as the new Neighbourhood Supervisor for Eynsham and surrounding villages. She joins PCSO Helen Keen in helping to keep our community safe.

PC Leggott started her career as a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) in Witney before becoming a Police Constable (PC) in March 2022. She then spent time on a response team covering Cherwell and West Oxfordshire – “essentially driving around on blues and responding to immediate incidents” she says. “But then I decided to move onto the neighbourhood department because, when I was a PCSO, I loved getting to know the community and engaging with members of public.”

She told us that she chose her career in policing “because I wanted a job where no two days are the same and where I can hopefully make a positive difference to someone’s life.”

Having worked across Oxfordshire for the past four years, PC Leggott is already quite familiar with Eynsham and our surrounding villages. She will work alongside PCSO Keen to be, what she describes as, “the local ‘bobby on the beat’.”

She told us: “I want to hear about the local issues that residents are facing and hopefully come up with solutions to these problems. Please feel free to stop for a chat when you see me out and about.”

If residents need to report a crime, call 999 (in an emergency) or 101. There is also an online form that can be completed on the Thames Valley Police website (Report a crime | Thames Valley Police). For more general enquires or concerns, residents can email PCSO Keen or PC Leggott via EynshamNHPT2@thamesvalley.police.uk.
